I am not new to the concept of meditation, but the meditations I've experienced in the past have mostly been guided meditations that take the mind to a calm place, but don't actually quiet the mind. As a result of having been in a relationship with an emotionally and psychologically abusive man for 25 years, I have been diagnosed with PTSD. I have healed a lot in the past few years, but I was replacing one form of conditioning with other new forms of conditioning, when I could have been working to clear my mind. As a result of adding both quiet meditation and working to incorporate the Eight-Fold Path into my daily life, I am finally able to truly let go of feeling like a victim of my past. I am excited to continue to learn more as my life continues to grow more peaceful every day.
